PARKING/DROP OFF
Feel free to park in my driveway during your lesson. I normally schedule 15 minutes between students to allow time for one student to leave before the next student arrives. Please arrive no more than five minutes before your lesson start time. If you plan to drop off your child, please be sure to return promptly at the end of his/her lesson.
WAITING
Parents are welcome to sit in and observe their child’s lesson anytime. For younger children especially, I suggest coming in at least once per month.
MISSED LESSONS
Students are responsible to pay for the time slot being held for them. That is, the number of lessons there are in each month, not the number of lessons they are present for.
Students may reschedule a maximum of two lessons per term. The Fall term covers the months of September to December. The Winter/Spring term covers the months of January to May.
If a student must miss a lesson for any reason, please give notice as far in advance as possible. A make up lesson will not be given if notice of cancellation has not been received by 5 minutes before the lesson’s start time.
Time lost due to lateness on the part of the student cannot be made up.
In the unlikely event that I must cancel a lesson, it will be made up at your convenience. A make up for a lesson that I cancel does not count as one of the two make up lessons allowed per term.
WITHDRAWING FROM LESSONS
Students are asked to give at least two weeks notice before withdrawing from lessons.
Students are expected to finish the month in which they give notice of withdrawal. No refunds will be given for the month in which a student gives notice of withdrawal.
PAYMENT
Students are asked to pay for a full term of lessons at the beginning of each term. Payment may be made by either cash or check. Students who pay by check may submit monthly post-dated checks or one check for the full amount. Checks should be made payable to “Carleton Bovell.”
EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS
All equipment and materials (guitars, music, method books, etc.) should be purchased, borrowed or rented by the student. If you need help, I will be happy to help you find quality gear at the lowest prices.
QUESTIONS OR PROBLEMS?
Please discuss them with me. Feel free to contact me any time. If you leave a message on my machine, it will be answered as quickly as possible.
